This is some shocking news to all malaysian cheerleaders…. recently the first asian cheer comp was held in japan. 6 other countries joined including Malaysia which was invited and sponsored by the japanese cheerleading association… the rest was all japanese high school teams.
36 teams total.
national teams ranked as such in order excluding japanese teams :

Malaysia

Philipines
BUT tht does not tell the whole story.. remember 36 teams total…

THIS is crazy news! I knew we were not the best but wat is with this results?
here’s a comment from a Malaysian cheerleader… :
“The japanese were incredible.. The girls arms were bigger than our boys thighs”
“Everybody cheered for everybody.. There were no “i cant cheer for your team!” selfishness.. It was great!”
Lets hope this experience will propel our national cheerleading standards higher in the future.
